Updated: Oct 10, 2022

MIT Innovators Under 35 (Japan)

MIT Technology Review has a long history of selecting top innovators under the age of 35 for special recognition. In recent years, the review board has grown to include regions outside of the USA, and began holding a Japan-only selection last year. A panel of expert academics, as well as government and industry officials select candidates based on their work history, vision, and demonstration of excellence in their research and development actives.

Awards Ceremony 2021

The MIT Innovators Under 35 Japan awards ceremony was held at Mitsui Hall, Tokyo, from 15:00-18:00 on Thursday the 16th of December 2021. Our founder, Landon Kamps was one of this year’s 14 awardees, selected from over 350 applicants! He was designated a “pioneer” for his work towards safe and fast space transportation. Since the S-Booster competition was to be held at the same location the following day, Shota and Landon were able to travel to Tokyo and attend the event together - celebration drinks had to wait until after the S-Booster.
